J. Michael Kessler

A resident of Denver Colorado, Michael began drawing, painting and sculpting, several years ago. He taught oil painting for several years. He is a versatile artist in both subject matter and media working in oil, acrylic, pencil and clay.

His art studies started with private instructors and University of Central Oklahoma, he received his degree from Art Institute of Colorado.

Michael's work is represented in both public and private collections; he has exhibited in Taos, Denver, Oklahoma City Kansas City, Wichita, and the Netherlands, as well as many juried, invitational and open shows, receiving awards.

My art started with my first box of crayons, my mother being a gifted artist, encouraged me making me know I wanted to be an artist, my life was on its course and has never stopped, it is an exciting and ever challenging experience, and the best is sharing and receiving from these experiences.
